Join me this fall on a journey through the greatest story ever told. On August 30, we’ll start with Genesis 1:1. Nearly three months later, we’ll finish in the book of Revelation. Along the way will discover God’s grand plan to save the world, including you and me.
There are several ways to participate.
Listen to the Sermons
Each week I’ll be delivering a sermon based upon that week’s reading. In just fourteen weeks, we’ll cover the entire Bible on Sunday mornings. Even if you don’t join in the readings, this will be a great way to gain an understanding of the Bible’s big picture. Watch Sunday mornings at 9:45am on our livestream or any other time on YouTube.
Choose a Reading Plan
Choose from one of three daily reading plans. Download the PDF of the plans here.
The Cover to the Cover Plan – With this plan you will read every verse in the Bible over the course of 88 days. For most people, this plan requires 30-45 minutes a day of reading. Read it all at once. Split it into two or three smaller reading sessions a day. Do it consistently and you’ll have read the Bible before you know it.
The Key Passages Plan – By reading one key passage a day, you will get a great feel for the major events in the Bible. You’ll also be exposed to the various kinds of writing that we find in the Bible, from stories, to poetry, to prophesy. This plan takes around five minutes a day.
The Verse a Day Plan – Anyone can do this plan. Just read one or two verses a day. Meditate upon them throughout the day and see the ways that God speaks to you!
Connect During the Week
Daily: Each day I’ll post my thoughts on that days reading here on the blog.
On Wednesdays: At 6:00pm each Wednesday I’ll do a 30 minute overview of that week’s reading. The goal of these midweek sessions will be to help folks understand the big picture of what’s happening in the reading by providing historical context and other helpful information. You can find these on my church’s livestream <https://slb.online.church/>.
